Nancy Williams

Audiological history:  Nancy was born with a genetic hearing loss.

Musical studies: Shortly after her 40th birthday, Nancy returned to the piano after a 25-year hiatus. She now studies piano with Mark Pakman at the John J. Cali School of Music and performs in amateur concerts. In 2012, she debuted in a recital at Carnegie Hall.

Personal: Nancy is the Founding Editor of the online magazine, Grand Piano Passion She publishes articles for practicing pianists and all musicians with hearing loss. She is also the 2009 winner Lamar York Prize for Nonfiction for her essay “Deserting the Piano”.
